About Dr Anna Peacock

Anna Peacock obtained her BSc and MSc in Physics from The University of Auckland (New Zealand) in 1999 and 2001, respectively. She then joined the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) at the University of Southampton to undertake her doctoral studies where she obtained a PhD in the area of Nonlinear Optical Devices in 2004. In 2007 Anna was awarded a five-year Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship in recognition of her work in the design and characterization of microstructured optical fibres filled with metals and/or semiconductors. Anna is currently employed as a Reader and heads the Semiconductor Fibre Devices for Nonlinear Photonics group.
