Dr Natasha Vukovic

Natasha Vukovic graduated with honours and completed her MSc and PhD in Electronic Engineering at the University of Nis, Serbia in 1997 and 2001 respectively. Until 2001 she worked as a research and teaching assistant with the Faculty of Electronic Engineering at the University of Nis, and she was promoted to an Assistant Professor in 2001.

She obtained her PhD degree in Optoelectronics from the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) in 2010 for her work on the long microstructured fibre tapers. Upon completion of her PhD she joined the ORC, and consequently the ORC/EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Photonics. She is currently working with the Advanced Laser Laboratory to conduct research on primarily user-led projects.

Natasha has a strong background in nonlinear optics and numerical modelling. Her research interests focus on optical fibres technology, including modelling and design of specialty optical fibres for high power fibre industry.
