Dr Peter Shardlow PhD, MSci, DIC, ARCS

Peter is an experienced fibre, solid state and laser systems physicist and engineer with much of his work encompassing next generation high-power industrial laser system development. He is currently a Senior Enterprise Fellow at the University of Southampton. His recent work has primarily focused in technology transfer to industry partners of high power 1.5-2µm fibre, solid state, and hybrid lasers. This has encompassed: optical fibre development; benchtop optical R&D; team management; computational modelling; ruggedisation and ultimately system delivery into the industrial and defence sectors.
