Professor Rob Eason is appointed as new Deputy Head of School for Education

Over the years Rob has been central to the ORC mission to provide the best possible environment for PhD training in photonics research. Rob has played a key role in building a successful student body of world class PhD students. His efforts have helped the ORC to be one of the leaders in training innovation in the university and he continues to strive for excellence in the opportunities we provide. We are immensely proud of our 600-strong alumni of key individuals across the world in senior positions in photonics and Rob will be central in continuing that tradition.
