OSA Fellowship awarded

The University of Southampton’s status as a leading international centre for Photonics research has been highlighted this week as another of its senior academics has been awarded a Fellowship by the Optical Society of America (OSA).

Professor Peter Kazansky from the University’s Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) has achieved recognition for his many outstanding and imaginative contributions in the fields of light and electric-field-induced phenomena in optical materials. His adventurous and potentially high impact research in optics, quantum and physical electronics has the potential to pave the way for future discoveries.

The OSA is the premier international society for scientists working in optics and Photonics, and is behind the top academic journals and conferences in this field. The ORC has strong links to the OSA, and is home to their largest student chapter.
