Deputy Director elected Fellow of European Physical Society

Professor Nikolay Zheludev, Deputy Director of the ORC has been elected a Fellow of the European Physical Society “for his pioneering and foundational work and international leadership in the fields of metamaterials, nanophotonics and nonlinear optics.” The EPS has only 56 Fellows.

The European Physical Society was created in 1968 for promoting Physics in Europe. It unites thousands of individual and corporate members and 41 national physical societies, including the Institute of Physics. For the ORC it is best known as the home for CLEO/EQEC-Europe and Nanometa conferences.
