Members of the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) team will be among the 1,180 exhibitors and 27,000 visitors expected to attend the world's leading trade fair and photonics conference in Munich, Germany next week (22nd-25th June 2015).

Laser World of Photonics is the meeting place for the international photonics industry, running alongside the prestigious World of Photonics Congress, which includes CLEO, Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (21st-25th June) and EQEC, European Quantum Electronics Conference.

The ORC exhibition stand in hall B2, number 139 will be showcasing the next-generation optical fibres which are newly available to purchase and sample for engineering and research development purposes.

Over five days CLEO Europe will feature a large number of technical contributions in parallel sessions and posters drawn from industry, university and research organisations from around the world. Optoelectronics Research Centre staff and students are expected to give some 77 paper presentations, poster sessions and invited talks during the course of the conference this year.

In the exhibition, Tom Carr, Business Development Manager for the Zepler Institute, will join colleagues on the ORC's stand to showcase special fibre development capability.
