Nanostructures induced by femtosecond laser beam are characterized over the visible. Permanent refractive index increase with subpicosecond pulses is achieved. Feasibility of using induced anisotropy for spatial mode conversion to 1.5 µm is shown.

Abstract

Nanostructures induced by femtosecond laser beam are characterized over the visible. Permanent refractive index increase with subpicosecond pulses is achieved. Feasibility of using induced anisotropy for spatial mode conversion to 1.5 µm is shown.
