Propulsion and sorting of gold nanospheres on optical waveguides

Abstract
Propulsion of gold nanospheres in the evanescent field of Cs+ ion-exchanged waveguides and Y-junction waveguide sorters is demonstrated, quantified, and compared with theory for large populations of nanospheres.
