Joerg Heber received a degree in physics from the University of Erlangen (Germany), followed by a PhD in solid-state physics from Imperial College in 2000. He was able to further widen his research background during his postdoctoral stays at Bell Labs (Murray Hill, NJ) and the University of Marburg (Germany), providing him with a broad knowledge in semiconductor materials and optoelectronics. This experience places him in an ideal position to cover all aspects of condensed matter physics and photonics.
