Monika Glanc-Gostkiewicz PhD

Dr Monika Glanc-Gostkiewicz is a Senior Engineer in the Silica Fibre Fabrication Group at the University of Southampton. She obtained her MSc in Chemistry and Physics of Soil in 2002 from Nicolaus Copernicus University, Poland. After graduating she moved to the United Kingdom where she studied at the University of Portsmouth and received a PGCE qualification. Dr Glanc-Gostkiewicz subsequently taught for three years in secondary schools in Hampshire. In 2016 she obtained a PhD in Electro-mechanics from the University of Southampton. Her project aimed to design low-cost and miniaturised thick film chemical sensors for water quality monitoring.
