Phase-matched second-harmonic generation in permanently-poled optical fibres
A permanent second-order non-linearity is induced in a phosphorus and germania doped optical fibre via simultaneous excitation and orientation of defect centres. Modal phase-matching leads to efficient second-harmonic generation.
