Blue Light Sources
The wide range of potential applications for compact visible lasers, and blue lasers in particular, has stimulated a major research and development effort in many laboratories aimed at realizing such laser sources. Among the various approaches being taken. There is general agreement that the primary source of photons will be provided by a semiconductor diode laser.
