Nonlinear switching in a 20cm long fibre Bragg grating
We report experimental observation of non-linear all-optical switching of a 20cm long fibre Bragg grating. The grating is self-switched due to the optical Kerr effect and in the nonlinear regime shows a 20dB increase in the transmissivity.

Abstract
