Venue: Lecture Theatre B (Building 46)
Time: 2pm
This talk will present results from investigations made by a group of scientists during 2001 – 2007 in the fields of
Topic (1) is connected to the problem of stabilisation of nanoparticles with a high concentration of up to 25% volume in polymeric films and its optical properties. This work was accomplished under the support of a CRDF grant in collaboration with 3M Corp. US.
Topic (2) is an investigation of organic nonlinear optical materials with high electro-optic coefficient (400 – 500 pm/V) for low-voltage light modulators.
Topic (3) is connected to the effect of self-focusing of light in UV-curable composition and its application for formation of microstructures in the top of the fibre.
Igor Yu.
